This year we got to go pick our own Christmas tree at Dado's house! Decorating was quite an adventure, as all the pine needles are pretty much like actual needles, and stab you if you touch them! Hence, all the decorations are hung right at the tips of the branches and fall off whenever my stomach bumps into them.
I know everyone who lives in other places always asks me how big I am, so here's a picture I took today, at 6 months pregnant (28 weeks). I would guess I'm pretty close to the size I got at the end of my pregnancies with Alicey and Olivia.
And here's Alicey with her beloved teacher, Miss Lindsay. Alicey LOVES Miss Lindsay! She holds the preschool at her home down the street from our house.

The 1993 movie Amongst Friends, by Rob Weiss, was filmed and set in the Five Towns.
The television show Entourage features a fictional show titled Five Towns, in which Johnny Drama stars as a character.
The producer of the show was supposed to be actor-director Edward Burns, who in real life grew up in Valley Stream but attended Hewlett High School. When shown on Entourage the Five Towns is oddly portrayed as a gritty industrial area.
In Thomas Pynchon's 1963 debut novel V., he mentions the Five Towns; however, he includes Malverne as being part of the group.
Mephisto – Novel of a Career is the sixth novel by German-American writer Klaus Mann, published in 1936 whilst he was in exile in Amsterdam. It was published for the first time in Germany in the East Berlin Aufbau-Verlag in 1956. The novel, a thinly disguised portrait of German actor Gustaf Gründgens, adapts the Mephistopheles/Dr Faustus theme by having the main character, Hendrik Höfgen, abandon his conscience and continue to act and ingratiate himself with the Nazi Party to keep and improve his job and social position.
An award-winning film of the same name was released in 1981.
After Gründgens' death, his adopted son Peter Gorski sued the Nymphenburger Verlagsbuchhandlung, then the publisher of Mephisto in West Germany, and obtained the prohibition of publication, confirmed by the appeal judges of the Federal Court of Justice in 1968.
In 1981 Rowohlt republished it in West Germany.
